The floor is looking good!

They started at 10am yesterday, I didn't think they would get too much done, boy was I wrong!! They ripped up the carpet in the family room & dining room. Took up 30 tiles in the entrance foyer & ripped up the linoleum in the kithcen & breakfast area. They then laid all the wood in those areas!!

They still have the living room & hallway to do, at the moment all the furniture is stored in those areas!!

I did take a couple of pictures this morning. The floors are Brazilian Koa (Tigerwood)

I am so excited!!

As some of you know, we were going to have wood floors laid this week. Got told last week they hadn't arrived. Apparently they have been in Tampa Port for the last 10 days!!! There was something else in the container that Customs didn't like. The floors are still there.

We went into the store Saturday, as the owner had been telling a rep about our problem. He said they did Tigerwood floors, they are thicker than the one's we had chosen, more expensive, but we could have them for what we were paying for the other floors.

They were delivered this afternoon & they are starting in the morning!!!! I have spent all afternoon, painting 25 6ft pieces of wood trim, my back is killing me now!! But I am sitting here typing this smiling!!

Okay so I cheated a bit, I did this last Tuesday & never got around to posting it!!

You might look at it & think well where's the difference, but there is, I took all the things out, cleaned all the shelves & put it all back again!!

I'm not computer savvy!!

I have been having problems with connecting to any site over the last few days!! It could take up to 1/2 hour just to get to MSN or Maya's Mom!! Now that one I get withdrawl symptoms from, my MM friends know about this so I was close to having panic attacks!!

I tell hubby about the problem, I am told to go & do a diagnostic check to see what the problem is. Yes dear, okay where do I diagnose, how do I do this check. I eventaully find a few things to check. It says I am not connected to the internet, well duh I knew that!!!!

Hubby takes my computer & plugs it in, as I have wireless connection. It doesn't work, glad it's not just me!! Turns out my wireless connection was up the shoot, it's all worked out now, my coonection is faster & I don't have withdrawl symptoms anymore. I have had my MM fix & I am good to go!

Just having fun!!

We have just spent a great afternoon in the company of our friends. They used to live in Tampa, but moved away 2 years ago now. Had a great time catching up on news, then before they left we were playing with a downloadable piece of software on his I-Phone!

You can hum, sing or say a few words from a song, then it will find it for you & play it. Well some of the songs we were coming up with it couldn't find!! Then again the songs my hubby was chooisng were a long time ago, I just don't think the software can find them from back in the good old days!!!

Before they came I decided to make some bread, I made a loaf & 9 rolls. It started raining while they were rising the second time & had cooled down outside, I was wondering where I was going to put them to rise. Well our garage is very warm in the afternoon, I had a loaf pan & 2 trays of rolls sitting on the garage floor!! They rose beautifully, hubby is desperate to start eating them!!

This is quite addictive & frustrating.

I have been back on my blog since 7am this morning!! I checked out what some of my friends had said about the site, I took their advice, which I usually do (LOL) & changed the color of the font! Boy they were right, it is much easier to read now!!

Then I wanted to add a friends blog to my site, easy, you have to be kidding me!! I need a degree in this blogging thing!! I added the link, didn't work, deleted the link, then couldn't add it again!! I persevered though & lo & behold I did it!! I now passed my first test in blogging & feel very proud of myself. People are right, once you have a blog it consumes you, & I thought Maya's Mom was addictive!

New to the Blogging Scene!

I have at last got down to creating my own blog, I hope that I will be able to keep up with this!! I will be trying to post most days, but will also hope to share my new Jewelry Craft as well!
